What is Waxing?

Waxing is the process of hair removal that’s used to effectively remove the hair from the root. Since hair is removed directly from the root, consistently waxing results in finer hair each time it is done. Waxing results will be based on an individuals hair growth. Most waxing services will be scheduled between 2-weeks on a consistent basis. Waxing is naturally exfoliating, resulting in soft, smooth skin. It is even suitable for those with sensitive skin. Unlike shaving, which may result in razor burn and nicks, waxing is quick and provides instant results.

Before your wax, we will provide a list of pre and post care instructions to be followed. We will begin by cleansing, and drying off the desired treatment area. A powder may be used topically to remove any excess oil. The wax will then be applied to the skin. The skin is held taught as the the strip is pulled off quickly. Once completed, we may go in with tweezers to remove any hairs that were not picked up by the wax. The area will then be cleaned, and a soothing gel may be applied over area.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no downtime that is comes with waxing. Though there are a few aftercare instructions that should be followed after a waxing treatment. It is important to let the skin be as it was just exfoliated. We recommend that you avoid any hot showers, sauna, intense exercise, and sun exposure for the first 24 to 48 hours.
