Dermaplaning……..

Say goodbye to dead skin and peach fuzz

Why We Love It

Maintain and restore your skin’s health

Dermaplaning is the removal of dead skin and vellus hairs that are on the top layer of your face. By removing the skin and fine hairs with exfoilation, it can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scars and fine lines. It will also allow any products used after the treatment, to penetrate deeper into your skin. Whether it is paired with a peel, enzyme, serums, or other procedures to benefit your skin concerns. Dermaplaning is an incredible exfoliation method for all skin types that suffer from dull and dehydrated skin.

What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive exfoliation procedure for your skin. A surgical blade is used to exfoliate away the top layers of your skin. It removes the dead skin cells that are laying on the top of your skin, and also removes the vellus hairs aka “peach fuzz”. Dermaplaning can be used for any skin type, and anyone with: acne scars, dull skin, dry skin, sun-damaged skin, and fine line and wrinkles. This treatment is beneficial on it’s own, or paired with a chemical peel or enzyme to deeply penetrate the product into your skin. After a dermaplaning treatment, your skin will be smooth and glowing for the following days to come.

What Are The Benefits?

  • Suits all skin types

  • Exfoliates your skin

  • Cleaner and smaller pores

  • Improves fine lines and wrinkles

  • Instantly rejuvenated and glowing

  • Gets rid of peach fuzz and dead skin

  • Allows for deeper penetration of products

What Results Can I Expect?

Most of our patients notices that their skin looks brighter and clearer immediately after a dermaplaning treatment. It can take a few days for maximum results as the products work their way into the skin. As any minimal redness subsides, you’ll be able to see the results more clearly in the days afterward. The results of dermaplaning aren’t permanent. Which means that it can become a part of your monthly facial routine. As skin cells regenerate and hair grows back after roughly 2 to 3 weeks, it will be time for your next appointment. After a dermaplaning treatment, you’ll need to be extra careful about sun exposure. To prolong your treatment effects, it is very important to use sunscreen everyday.

What Is The Treatment Like?

Dermaplaning is a quick and effective form of exfoliation done in just under an hour that comes with no downtime. During your appointment, your skin will be cleansed and prepped. A serum may be applied to the skin based on skin type that allows the blade to gently glide over the skin. The blade will then be gently gliding over your skin and removing the dead skin and hairs. Though this causes no pain, you may hear a very light scraping sound as it covers the area with more buildup. After the treatment is done and no other procedures are preformed, we cleanse the skin again of any skin and hair, and apply necessary products directly on the skin. SPF is always recommended after any dermaplaning treatment as it is used as a form of exfoliation.

Is There Any Downtime?

Dermaplaning on it’s own will not require any downtime. If this treatment is paired with another service, it may require more specific instructions on how to protect your skin post treatment. Treatments are very quick and can even be performed on your lunch break, allowing you to carry on with your day as you had planned. There is nothing easier than improving the appearance of our skin almost instantly without having to worry about downtime afterwards.
